Tafadzwa Moyo
General Manager

At 25 Tadazwa is the hardest working manager we know. Intelligent and very ambitious, he is personally responsible for not only the day to day smooth running of the company but also for management of logistical issues between the city office and work sites, creating good relationships with government, company legislation including licensing and work permits, and drafting and control of our monthly budgets. Born in a town called “City of Kings” in Zimbabwe, known as Buluwayo, Tafadzwa has previous experience as a manager in a successful chicken outlet as well as managing accounts and licences for a boat manufacturing company. He is the smartest dressed of all Fresh Limitada employees, knowing the power of first and lasting impressions.
Taking his inspiration from his faith he believes that all should “appreciate what you have and give thanks to the Lord, for not all are like what you are.”

Jonas Heinen
Site Supervisor/Head Carpenter

Jonas was employed by Fresh as a head carpenter, tasked with teaching our team valuable carpentry skills. It was soon discovered that he makes an excellent manager and he now supervises all logistical operations from overseeing orders to finding solutions to unexpected problems. Trained in Germany as a carpenter, he worked there for nine years perfecting his art, joining Fresh after travelling to Africa for the first time, where wanderlust hit him. Besides his great skill working with wood he has been training in martial arts since the age of twelve, which can be seen in the calm and confident manner in which he deals with anything that comes his way.

Jan Meller
Site Supervisor

Being both a carpenter and educator make Jan a valuable addition to our team. Although originally from Germany he has travelled and worked in many different countries giving him a better understanding of different cultures and the ways of the world at large, which is a great help in his work at Fresh. Jan not only teaches staff the trade of carpentry but also handles the enormous task of running the construction on an island, a job with many challenges for which he draws on large amounts of strength and initiative. Growing up on a farm in northern Germany, Jan loves the sea, good, healthy food, music and the arts and learning about new cultures.

James Hope
Site Supervisor

After living abroad for 13 years, ten of those spent working behind a desk, James decided to come back home to Africa and get himself out of the office and onto the ground. Working as a site supervisor on our island projects provided him with the perfect opportunity. Not only does he have experience in building but also brings years of working with design to our table. One of the most valuable skills James has to offer though is the ability to stay calm no matter what is thrown at him and to get the job done under some of the most trying circumstances. Perhaps this is born of his love of adventure or his agreement with the sentiment that anything worth doing is worth doing well.

Mamvura Moyo
Senior Buyer

Good negotiation skills, field and cost management and the ability to control and manage assets and budgets alike are just some of the things that help Mamvura in his job as senior buyer. Believing in dedication, discipline and passion are what help him excel. Often seen working right through to Sunday, Mamvura is one of our most dedicated employees. Born and bred in Bulawayo, his background is in the buying and brokering of semi and small enterprises before joining the Fresh team during its formation. In a position where deadlines are paramount, Mamvura works to the maxim that there is no room for failure.

John Chinouya
Coordinator and Marine Logistics

John started out as the official “Teacher” of Fresh Limitada, teaching English to the local staff on site in Mozambique but he quickly proved himself skilled in areas of administration and coordination. He is now in charge of coordinating the supply of materials from orders to procurement to site. John was born in Rusape near Mutare in Zimbabwe and went to boarding school at St Francis of Asisi in Chivuni. Still known as “Teacher” by everyone he believes “education is a way to success and learning is a process of life, so life is a journey but not a destination.”

Gerald Tadyanemhandu
Foreman

Gerald has been in the construction business for 23 years and brings these years of experience to the Fresh team. He is the man on the ground making sure all our buildings are just right and conform to the highest standards. One of ten children, Gerald knows what it is like to be part of a team. When he is not guiding the ground staff on site he visits his wife and six children in Zimbabwe. Not only is he a great builder but he also believes in “working together and building the nations all over the world.”

Emmanuel Dzowa
Electrical Supervisor

Emmanuel uses his 22 years experience as an electrician to successfully tackle all the electrical tasks that come with building from scratch and in very remote places. His job is extremely important not only in ensuring the building site has power to operate to capacity but also to make sure all our new developments are fitted according to electrical plans and to IEE regulations of safety. It's good to know that he is a go getter and hates failure. He is a firm believer in understanding and listening to situations as they arise, making decisions after thorough planning, leading, organising and taking control of a situation.

Jaison Chavunga
Plumber Supervisor

Having worked many years in the construction and mining industry as a plumber, Jaison is in charge of all plumbing operations on site. As a supervisor he is also responsible for training new and local staff in these essential skills. Coming from Buluwayo, Zimbabwe, where he worked for the National Railways, Jaison always says “we only live once so there is no time for regrets.”
